Update on barn cleanup

Image
This is not an "after" shot.  It is a work in progress shot.  Yes, there is a floor in there. Kathy, it is nice to have stuff, but not if you can't find it!!  It's easier sometimes to get something else because it is too much trouble to find the thing you are looking for. The actual construction/destruction of the space will take place next year.  Lots to do to make the place usable.  Maybe we can get the furnace in this year, we'll see.

Wildlife at the farm

Image
These photos are not happy.  This Raccoon has been spotted around here last week.  This morning he made his way to our driveway and took a rest.  Judging by the dried blood on his tail, he was either run over or injured.  I'm not sure if he's missing his left eye or not.  Sure hope the neighbor who shoots his rifle while sitting on the roof of his pole barn didn't do this to him. I don't think he is sick. I think he's injured and if I see him again, I'll call animal control and see if they can nurse him back to health.  He is not foaming at the mouth, walking funning, etc.  He was eating food from our garbage can and our bird feeder.

Fall, or what's under the cloche

my little friend

I found out where they live during the day, but as soon as it gets dark, my two little buddies come out onto the garage and eat bugs.

together at last

The blue object behind naked Ken is a little metal chair. Barbie is intact too.  Just a little dusty from the wood shavings in the tree.

Help yourself......

This was the scene in an upscale restaurant. Looks like unwrapped sanitary napkins, a hairbrush and hairspray are all you need if you are a woman nowadays....

tree frog continued

Image
This is one of the tree frogs who lives at our house and on our garage door.  He has a bigger friend who shares the territory with him. You can find them at night, especially around 9pm.  If you walk in the driveway on the concrete between the house and the garage, you could step on him or his toad cousins...  They are hopping all over the driveway. A friend told me toads stay for 25 years in an area.

Fall at Dufield Farm

Image
Looks like Fall, but it's not.  Still in the 80's today and HUMID. Bad Hair Days outnumber the so-so Hair Days.  Thank goodness for hats and visors  to sop up the sweat.

These women don't need no diets
