winter blahs




It happens to a lot of us out here in the Midwest. The winter blahs. Too cold to do anything outside, too much wet snow, or both. We end up spending a lot of time inside (aka cabin fever) the house and it drives us a little crazy.
I'd like some time to do some art, but I have too much to do and have to work again tommorow.

Lost Duck has a home

 This Northern Pintail Duck has been stranded in a pond for many months.  We don't know if he suffered a traumatic injury or is unable to fly, but he never left the pond when the weather turned and the other Ducks and Geese moved on. He would swim around the pond quacking a lot.    The Duck was rescued by a kind woman and is now living on a farm amongst Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks and Geese ,and has access to a heated barn! The people responsible for the rescue are going to be featured on the local TV news.
