I took this as the family was walking through the water.

I was amazed at the shape of this turkish guy's nose. It looked painful to me. I wondered if his father's nose was like this and his father's before him. In Brazil, everyone has surgery to correct their imperfections, but in Turkey, you use your crooked nose and go on with your life. It is a cultural issue for sure.

It was very warm in Vienna during our stay. I think we were the hottest in Budapest...Here's a nice family shot of our gang in Vienna

when we went to Vienna last summer, the Euro Cup was there and as a host city, they did a great job. Turkey was one of the teams playing and they were very well represented at this game.

Some people believe everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day. It is a nice thought.... Not true, but a nice thought.

Here are the little chicks for sale at Farm & Fleet today. It was hard to photograph them inside the cages. I came home and the sound of birds screeching... sounded like Alfred Hitchock's movie being filmed outside... This is only a portion of the flock of red wing blackbirds who were high up in the black walnut trees over the barn...

The architecture in Downtown Vancouver reminds me of the buildings we saw last summer in Eastern Europe. There is a distint style to the high rises there...

These are photos of me and Frank with his brother Michael & wife Kathy. We are at his favorite Resteraunt, Joe Fortes in Vancouver. The man sitting with him with the wierd statue is the prize for winning the best oyster shucker for 2008. The colorful plate of food is just one of 3 chef tastings we enjoyed by the talented chef at this place.... It was the best meal we had during our visit.
