These are photos of me and Frank with his brother Michael & wife Kathy. We are at his favorite Resteraunt, Joe Fortes in Vancouver. The man sitting with him with the wierd statue is the prize for winning the best oyster shucker for 2008.
The colorful plate of food is just one of 3 chef tastings we enjoyed by the talented chef at this place.... It was the best meal we had during our visit.

Lost Duck has a home

 This Northern Pintail Duck has been stranded in a pond for many months.  We don't know if he suffered a traumatic injury or is unable to fly, but he never left the pond when the weather turned and the other Ducks and Geese moved on. He would swim around the pond quacking a lot.    The Duck was rescued by a kind woman and is now living on a farm amongst Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks and Geese ,and has access to a heated barn! The people responsible for the rescue are going to be featured on the local TV news.
