Tree Frog

Image
This little tree frog was above the garage door. I took a fast shot of him since we were leaving to go somewhere. Usually these little guys attach themselves to our back door, but I guess they don't want to come so close anymore. All the toads I've seen in our back yard this summer were really tiny. My neighbor said she's seen the big fat ones. Maybe they are all living over there...

Our Bike was sort of a creepy Mauve

Image
When we were little girls growing up on the west side of Chicago our mother sent us to day camp in the summer to keep busy. As we got older, we would ride our bikes. Somehow,(I'm sure it was donated to us by someone) we got this huge old pinkish mauve bike which really was hideous to a little kid wanting a bannana bike. The fenders were really thick. It was old and huge. But there were no designer things back then, so I rode the bike. Did I have a choice? It was really big. Scary to ride it...I rode on 26th street... a fairly busy street... but I did. I saw this bike and thought about the pink bike all over again.

Blue HOuse for rent

Here is what the photograph does not tell you: This house is next to a Gas STation on a busy street... I took this shot while I was at the stoplight.

good design is timeless

Could you tell this image was taken from a 1959 Glamour magazine? Looks like something you can find in a contemporary magazine...

carnival ducks whizzing by

The ducks used to be yellow back in ancient days.

those damn ducks

When I was a little girl and I would go to the carnival, those ducks going around in circles fasinated me. I was sure I was going to pick the winner. Of course I never won, but for some reason I liked those little yellow ducks. They are still shouting for people to play this game as you walk by.
