Madame know it all

lady and her goats

If Karen checks this, she will see I posted this vintage photograph of a woman talking to her 2 goats. Karen has two goats. Could have been her in a past life. Nice dress, hugh?

Happy Birthday Stu

Image
Frank and I went to his friend Stu's surprise birthday party. It was nice and he seemed surprised. Even better... someone who actually was surprised at a surprise birthday party! Very Cool.

chicken soup and I have to go to sleep!!

Real Fact # 306: "In the middle ages, chicken soup was considered an aphrodisiac."

black and white cat cards

Image
These are the earrings I ended up giving my friend Val. The bottom are vintage components from an old pair of earrings. The rest is what I attached to them to make them "modern". The cards were inside the little feathery bag, along with a locket, which I did not photograph.

valentine's Day Dinner

Image
After picking up friends, we drove to this Resteraunt and had a meal before heading downtown to see the show, "Million Dollar Quartet". The musicians and singers were outstanding. Only one person in the show is really an actor, the others are mostly musicians, and good ones at that. The Apollo theatre really does not have a bad seat in the house, but it was chilly when we first sat down. Most people kept their coats on. This is some of the mixed media art inside the small reception/ticket area.

Valentine's DAy

Image
My computer is having a lot of problems, so I am posting photos I was able to upload. The gift I made for my friend is inside the red feathery bag, but it is not the heart pin assemblage... Frank said it was too rough, so I did not give it to her. I made her some pretty filigree pink rhinestone earrings out of vintage components. I'll try to find the photo later. She was not home, so I left the gifts with her mother who was visiting. Got to go...

new socks for Uncle Frank

Image
Frank asked me to find him some more colorful striped sox. This is what I came up with. I am proud of myself for selecting such cool colors and designs. Can't wait to see them on his feet. Howie has improved significantly since his cruciate surgery. He is doing much better in rehab. I am making my friend Val a birthday/Valentine gift. This was our deal. I must keep my end of the bargain.

Ear Wax

Image
Yellow-Brown earwax is made by glands in the skin lining the ear canal. It traps dirt and germs and is slowly pushed out of the ear. I have of fear of the earwax coming out when I don't know it is there...

Tea and South Dakota

Image
Snapple cap fact# 228: There is a town in South Dakota named "Tea". I'm really tired. Ok, overtired. I have been up since 4:30am because I had to go somewhere early today. I am not a good napper, so I am just dragging. My body hurts and I will go to sleep early tonight.

Junking Ladies at Lunch

Image
The fine and talented women I work with went to lunch today. I had the blackened tuna and it was scrumptous. The iced tea was good too. Afterwords, we went into a store which was going out of business and we all scored some really good buys. 75% off is just too good to walk by... my find was this great vintage cart.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we will find it not."

superbowl excitement

Image
I'm not a football fan or a really big drinker. 2 glasses of wine and I was pretty happy. This is towards the end of the game. No art content here, just sleepy friend and excited husband.
